【請假寫書 Time away to write book】
我親愛的朋友和讀者們，不知道在你們中有幾多位還記得這張照片？這是我【Rice Bowl Tales 有碗話碗】部落格成立後版頭的第一幅圖像。這相片是有一年我們去中國烏鎮旅行時拍的 。
To all my dear friends and readers, I don't know how many of you still remember this photo? Which was the first header picture for my 【Rice Bowl Tales】blog. It was taken in an ancient town in China one year whilst we were travelling there.
在两年多前 2011 年 1 月 31 日那天，我寫出了第一篇的網誌。那時，我两個孩子還在大學唸書；今天他們畢業已一年了。開始時，寫部落格只不過是給我這個沒有孩子在家的失業媽媽一些事情可做，讓我可以暫時寄托於這個新工作上。
現在一切細節已談妥，我終於可以把這消息告訴你們了。因為出版社計劃在 2014年 3 月出版我的書，我要在今年 11 月 30 日前把全部食譜、照片和文章完成。因此我要即時動手進行一切寫作事宜。未來的三個月裏，很不好意思我將不能經常刊出食譜或與大家閒談。我將會集中全副心力於撰寫這本書上！
I started the blog on 31st January 2011, a little more than two and a half years ago. At that time; my children were only half way through their university education, now they have already been graduated a year! To start with, the blog was just something for me to do to keep me busy, to fill up the gaps of a redundant mother's spare time.
Little did I know it would become a huge part of my life as time went on. The support and encouragement from my family, friends and readers has been tremendous; and I've made some really good friends through the blogging community.
Writing the blog and sharing recipes with my readers increasingly became an enjoyable and rewarding part of my life; so when I was asked to write a cook book by the editor of a publisher in Taiwan, I was thrilled! I feel so honoured and humbled at the same time for this wonderful opportunity.
The details are now finalised so I can tell you my dear friends and readers about this news. I now need to proceed in writing the book in order to adhere to my deadline of 31st November to complete my recipes and photos, allowing it to be published at the scheduled date of March 2014.
Unfortunately, this means that in the next three months, I won't be able to post recipes on my blog or talk to you as often as I would have loved to; it's because I am working on this book, a book that I will be giving 100% of my dedications, nothing less!
During my absence, please don't be a stranger. You know where I am, I will still be here. If I feel tired of writing and want to sit outside and have a chat, it would be lovely if you can join me for a catch up. And I would appreciate it too if you will still show me your lovely cooking made with my recipes.
All in all, I wish to continue having your loving support, it means so much to me! I hope that my time away will be worthwhile if I am able to create a book you will enjoy reading.
